The Presbyterian Church Property Trust puts St David’s up for sale

A commercial tender process has been launched by St David’s property owner, The Presbyterian Church Property Trust in order to sell the magnificent St David’s church on the open market.

This means that New Zealand’s living WW1 Memorial - The Soldiers’ Church - commissioned on Anzac Day 1927, is now at grave risk of being lost to commercial development.

The Tender closes on June 3, 2021 - less than 4 weeks away.

Tēnā koe,

Greetings!

Today we remember the lives lost in World War One, and in all conflicts.  Lest we forget.

We cannot gather in person this year, but we have a special guest.

Major Nick Jones, New Zealand Army, joined The Art of Remembrance at St David’s on ANZAC Eve 2019 before taking off for the Sinai Peninsula. Please read on in Major Jones’ own words, and also for updates on St David’s here.

Seasons Greetings

Tēnā koe,

We wish you all the best of the Season!  Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and a beautiful New Year 2020.

First of all thank you for your support.  We continue our work to preserve St David’s Memorial Church building for current and future generations. This special place is standing tall - for us all.

Gift of a star

Do you still need a gift or two for Christmas or the New Year? A Warwick Freeman lapel pin artwork is a gift like no other. Made in New Zealand of lacquered brass on a traditional pin, no fewer than 26 processes involving many volunteers create Te Tonga Whetu o Te Rangi – Southern Star

Each star is individually hand stamped with its own unique identifier code.

The star is inspired by a lifetime of work by this master artist jeweller.  It is also inspired by the Max Gimblett ONZM Remembrance quatrefoils – Max himself is a collector of Warwick’s work.

Designed for men and women to wear, each star comes beautifully presented in a travel box with fold-out story.
